Treatments

Treatments vary greatly depending upon the diagnosis and symptoms being treated. There is a general flow that is followed with every visit. We begin with an interview to determine what goals the patient has and what their main concerns are. We then formulate our diagnosis and design our treatment accordingly.

The interview is an opportunity for the patient to express their goals and any concerns that they have about their situation. It is also an opportunity for us to explain our ideas and gather all the information we need to make an accurate diagnosis.

There are several aspects to every treatment. Initially, we work on underlying constitutional imbalances to help insure that our treatments achieve enduring results. We then do a treatment that is aimed at alleviating the symptoms that the patient is experiencing. At any point in the treatment we may choose to use acupuncture, massage, moxibustion or cupping therapy.

Each patient receives a treatment that is unique and designed to help them most effectively reach their goals.
